Asia is a land of many cultures, languages, cuisine, archaeological history, and countries. Places to go inside of it would depend on the preference of the traveler and the specific destination in mind. China, Japan, India, Russia, as well as countries like Singapore, the areas within the middle east, and a number of others, through unbelievably diverse, all can be considered to be inside the continent of Asia. For the cautious traveler, becoming aware of the languages and cultures associated with the specific location of their choice amongst the options within the continent would be an advisable first step. While visitors to countries like India can expect to hear one or more of many languages, others may be able to visit places inside China and Japan and survive on a simple phrasebook or a few language lessons. Although many countries are familiar with the English language, a thorough understanding of the laws in the area a journeyer has decided upon taking the time to experience, in addition to a few simple phrases, are two simple things which take a lot of the guesswork out of accomplishing the first few simple tasks needed to explore a city inside any Asian country, such as reading street signs, speaking to cab drivers, finding a hotel, ordering dinner, and looking for which sites to see. Starting out seeing popular destinations is something enjoyable no matter what language used to navigate towards them. Weather it's Sri Lanka, Lebanon, or Hong Kong, or Okinawa, Asia is an area of the world, which has something to offer each individual who may wish to have a deeper understanding of it. Some may prefer the excitement of Tokyo, while others may prefer the historical value of some of the areas of India or Lebanon, while yet others may just feel like going to Singapore to do a little shopping. Across many of the cultures and countries of Asia, ancient and modern are things, which can be seen and lived in within the same holiday.
